A brand new Home Page for ebuga sites

We just uploaded this morning our new home page for ebuga, we really hope you find it useful and fun to use.

We do not want to extend too much into a detailed explanation about reasons, but there are some basic points we are trying to accomplish with this new change:

  • a much direct focus on what's going on in our site, summarized by content items
  • a reinforcement of our invitation to join and to participate in ebuga, not just to browse content
  • the ebuga Buzz, a nice log about what is happening in the site, starting from most recent events. The Buzz is something amazing to look at, it is really funny to browse and then choosing old but interesting debates and questions....it is another completely different way of navigation, ideal for procastinators
  • more visual weight of the top toolbar (now in orange), the ideal way to redirect to concrete contents related to cars, dealers, fotos or videos

Do you like the new home page? Please send us and comment your feedback at the "Contact Us" section in your ebuga site.

ebuga supports Earth Hour

Apagon

At 20 hours GMT +1 ebuga went black to support Earth Hour.

Earth Hour was created by WWF in Sydney, Australia in 2007, and in one year has grown from an event in one city to a global movement. In 2008, millions of people, businesses, governments and civic organizations in nearly 300 cities around the globe will turn out for Earth Hour.

Earth Hour invites everyone throughout the world to turn off the lights for an hour starting at 8 p.m. (your own local time)–whether at home or at work, with friends and family or solo, in a big city or a small town.

We will turn on the lights at 21 hours GMT +1.

A day of accomplished milestones

Spanish users made it possible to reach 500 reviews. All this in only 5 weeks (Xmas holidays included), not bad.

Italian users were able, just one week after the launch, to reach 100 reviews, and don't think they will be stopping here ;-))

Which one will be the next milestone in ebuga?
