ebuga supports Earth Hour

Apagon

At 20 hours GMT +1 ebuga went black to support Earth Hour.

Earth Hour was created by WWF in Sydney, Australia in 2007, and in one year has grown from an event in one city to a global movement. In 2008, millions of people, businesses, governments and civic organizations in nearly 300 cities around the globe will turn out for Earth Hour.

Earth Hour invites everyone throughout the world to turn off the lights for an hour starting at 8 p.m. (your own local time)–whether at home or at work, with friends and family or solo, in a big city or a small town.

We will turn on the lights at 21 hours GMT +1.

A day of accomplished milestones

Spanish users made it possible to reach 500 reviews. All this in only 5 weeks (Xmas holidays included), not bad.

Italian users were able, just one week after the launch, to reach 100 reviews, and don't think they will be stopping here ;-))

Which one will be the next milestone in ebuga?

Quick update

We have been very busy lately, the launch date is getting closer and the adrenaline is starting to pump. Let us give you a quick overview on our current status:

We are in conversations with with some senior Internet professionals for ebuga in France, UK, Brazil. If you know a senior internet professional living in Mexico who might be interested in a project like ebuga, please contact ebuga at ebayo - at - ebuga - dot - com. Thanks in advance!

Launch of ebuga Spain and ebuga Italy is forecast for late october, with some betatesting in private mode just some days before. We have had great feedback about the ebuga project when presenting our site to automotive professionals, internet industry specialists and entrepreneurs. So far, so good... (thanks to Kike from Trovit.com, Toni Salvatella from Festuc, Jordi Castelló from OLX and Mundoanuncio and Iván Martínez from Synerquia for their help)

We have increased our development team, and have set up a small office near Barcelona. Away from the city centre, sea views and lots of free parking space.

We welcome a new partner to ebuga.com through a capital increase operation. This means to us that we ensure our project in the mid term and focus on the quality of the site rather than on the short term revenues. Together with the investment we are signing a sales agreement with our new partner, this way ebuga will be able to sell to customers in a couple of European countries through our partner's saleforce.

We have created a blog for each ebuga country, so that our country managers can take the lead in each country in their local language to explain our project. This blog you are reading will remain as the corporate blog.

We are in the process of reaching agreements with motor portals and Blogs in Spain, Italy and the US, with the intention of sharing our content with these motor portals. We believe that this kind of agreement will be very useful to both parties. If you belong to a motor portal, we will be pleased to discuss possible cooperation with you. You will find us at ebayo - at - ebuga - dot - com.

Thanks a lot to those of you who have given us your valued support and good advice!
